ALLEVYN Gentle Border Lite is waterproof and a bacterial barrier, helping shield your wound from external fluid, dirt and bacteria - even while showering (6,8,9, IFU).
MOIST WOUND HEALING HEALS YOUR WOUNDS FASTER (10) - ALLEVYN Gentle Border Lite's REACTIC breathable film maintains a moist wound healing environment that promotes faster healing (2-4).
2. TRUSTED CONFORMABLE THIN HYDROCELLULAR FOAM LAYER (5)
Balances absorbing and retaining wound fluid to help maintain a moist wound healing environment, promoting faster, better healing (IFU,2,4). The flexible, comfortable, and conformable thin foam also allows application on hard-to-dress and highly mobile areas such as joints and face. (2,5).
3. SOFT SILICONE LOW ALLERGY WOUND CONTACT LAYER
SOFT AND CARING: Smith+Nephew's low allergy (8) silicone adhesive is trusted to create a gentle yet secure hold (1). Its non-adherent to the wound and is designed for all skin types, especially sensitive and fragile skin. ALLEVYN Gentle Border Lite ensures comfort throughout healing as well as a gentle removal, minimising pain and trauma (IFU + 7,11-13).
UNDISTURBED HEALING: ALLEVYN Gentle Border Lite is trusted to conform (1) and be left in place for up to 7 days, reducing frequent dressing changes allowing undisturbed wound healing (IFU).

Direction 1. Wash hands before and after treating the wound. Gently clean the wound and the surrounding skin with clean water and remove any visible dirt or debris.
2. Clean and dry the skin surrounding the wound with MELOLIN or a non fibrous sterile pad and clip any excess hair close to the wound.
3. Ensure the absorbent pad area covers the entire wound or area to be protected before applying the dressing.
4. Open the pouch by peeling apart the flaps. Remove the ALLEVYN GENTLE BORDER dressing.
5. Remove the backing sheets from the ALLEVYN GENTLE BORDER dressing as numbered.
6. Anchor the adhesive side of the ALLEVYN GENTLE BORDER dressing flat to the skin without creases.
7. Smooth the ALLEVYN GENTLE BORDER over the wound, removing the remaining backing paper.
8. Ensure the ALLEVYN GENTLE BORDER dressing is flat to the wound and free of creases
When should I replace ALLEVYN GENTLE BORDER?
Once absorbed fluid (darker patch/ strikethrough) approaches 0.5cm from dressing pad edge (IFU)
Once dressing reaches 7 days weartime
ALLEVYN Gentle Border Lite Dressings can be cut to fit smaller wounds or awkward areas. However, cutting the dressing compromises its bacterial barrier and waterproof properties. If the dressing has been cut, ensure any exposed foam areas are covered with an appropriate film dressing taking care not to cover the entire dressing.
