Since Actilax solution relieves constipation by producing a physiological change in the colon, it may take from 24 to 48 hours before normal defecation occurs. Actilax Mixture can be mixed with fruit juice, water or milk.

Warnings Do not use if you suffer from bowel obstruction.
Prolonged use of laxatives is undesirable and may lead to dependence. If symptoms persist, seek medical advice.

Direction For chronic constipation.
Adults: usual initial dose is 15 to 30 mL daily. After three days, dose may be reduced to 10 to 25 mL daily for maintenance.
Children: it is recommended that Actilax is given to infants and children under medical supervision. Recommended doses based on age are provided on the product label.
