Prizer COVID-19 vaccines can now be administered in select pharmacies across Australia.

Who is eligible for a free COVID-19 vaccination?

The Australian Government has committed to providing the COVID-19 vaccine at no cost to Australian citizens, permanent residents, refugees, asylum seekers and temporary or bridging visa-holders if they wish to be vaccinated.

1st and 2nd Dose - COVID-19 Pfizer Vaccinations are available for customers aged 12 years and up for their first and second dose.

Booster - COVID-19 Pfizer Booster Shots are available for customers aged 18 years and up.

 

What is the recommendation for Immunocompromised individuals?

The ATAGI recommends a third primary dose of COVID-19 vaccine in severely immunocompromised individuals. The recommended interval for the 3rd dose is 2 to 6 months after the 2nd dose of vaccine.

An mRNA vaccine, Pfizer or Moderna, is preferred for this 3rd dose however AstraZeneca can be used in certain circumstances.

Is the COVID-19 vaccination safe in pregnancy?

Comirnaty (Pfizer) and Spikevax (Moderna) vaccines are recommended for pregnant and breastfeeding women and those planning a pregnancy. Women can receive the vaccine at any stage of pregnancy.

Pfizer vaccine available for:

  • first and second dose (ages 12 and up)
  • third dose for immunocompromised individuals (ages 12 and up)
  • booster dose (ages 18 and up)

 

Do you have a Medicare Card?

Individuals who meet the current eligibility criteria for the COVID-19 vaccine and who don’t have a Medicare card will now be able to receive their FREE vaccine at their local community pharmacy.

 

We will require Proof of Identity

Please remember to bring your Driver’s License, Passport or Birth Certificate along with your Medicare Card (if you have one) to your appointment.
