Description OPSITE FLEXIGRID is a sterile film dressing that facilitates moist wound healing for superficial wounds such as clean grazes and minor burns. The dressing can be left in place for up to fourteen days, minimising interference at the wound site and reducing the amount of nursing time required.Ingredients Opsite Flexigrid consists of a thin polyurethane membrane coated with a layer of an acrylic adhesiveDirection Make sure the skin is clean and dry. Step 2: Cut the OPSITE Flexifix Gentle roll to the desired length. Step 3: Peel back the protective backing. Step 4: Apply the exposed adhesive side and smooth down the edges.
ALWAYS READ THE LABEL AND FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS FOR USE.Warnings Seek medical advice immediately for all serious wounds and burns or if redness or discomfort occurs.
Not for use on infected wounds.
As with all adhesive products, apply and remove carefully from sensitive or fragile skin. Frequent dressing changes, particularly on patients with fragile skin or dermatological conditions, can result in skin reddening or damage to the skin.
For blisters take extra care when removing the dressing, as the top layer of the skin on the blister is very fragile. This layer of skin may come off if the dressing has not been left in place very long.
During the body’s normal healing process, unnecessary material is removed from the wound which will make the wound appear larger after the first few dressing changes. If the wound continues to get larger after the first few dressing changes, discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional.
Should any signs of reddening, inflammation, excess tissue, skin breakdown or allergic reactions appear, discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional.
Product should not be re-used. Cross-contamination can occur and the therapy may not work. Once opened, do not retain unused dressing for application at a later date. Ingredients Not ApplicableDirection Dressing Care
OPSITE Dressings should be left in place until the wound has healed. For burns and scalds it is important to leave the dressing on for as long as possible (up to 7 days). Do not wear the same dressing for more than 7 days. In some circumstances fluid will be visible under the film. If leakage occurs change the dressing.
Step 1. Wash hands before and after treating the wound.
Step 2. Gently clean the wound, removing any debris, and dry the surrounding skin. Ensure the surrounding skin remains dry before application. Do not apply if the wound is bleeding heavily.
Step 3. Remove dressing from pouch.
Step 4. Remove the backing paper marked 1, taking care not to touch the adhesive side.
Step 5. Place the dressing over the wound using light pressure.
Step 6. Remove the backing paper marked 2, and smooth the dressing down. Press around the edges of the dressing.
Step 7. Remove the green grid marked 3 by peeling away the side tab.
Dressing Removal
1. To remove the dressing, lift one corner and pull it parallel (even with) your skin, whilst supporting the dressing with the other hand. As the dressing is stretched it will easily lift off as the adhesive is broken.
2. Handle and dispose of the used dressing with care. Throw away hygienically after use.
