Description Babies need cleansers in their bath for hygiene. Washing with water alone doesn’t remove much dirt and any of the other things babies can get into. But a lot of the commercial wash products out there are made with cheap, synthetic detergents that can strip the skin of its natural oils, leaving it high and dry.The ones that make big bubbles can be particularly drying, but every parent knows, BABIES NEED BUBBLES! The biggest bubbles in town are made by Sodium Laureth Sulphate.We take a different approach. We combine small amounts of 5 different natural cleaners as this can be milder on the skin than one concentrated cleanser. We chose natural cleansers that bubbled fairly well, although the bubbles don’t last quite as long as the ones that come from SLS. To keep the bubble action going, every now and then the water can be mixed up again to rebuild the bubbles. Now all that splashing around is going to good use.We also added in some super soothing ingredients like Colloidal Rice Bran. While shampoo cleans the hair and scalp, we feel it’s important to follow it with a natural conditioner that doesn’t coat or irritate the scalp.Most conditioners are made using silicone-based ingredients (usually big words that end with –cone) that coat the hair in something slippery, making it feel silky and smooth. They do a great job of making the hair feel hydrated and easy to detangle. The problem we find with silicone is that it can build up on the hair over time, making it feel heavy and limp. This usually results in a need for a different type of shampoo to get rid of the buildup caused by these types of conditioners.Instead, we wanted to make a creamy conditioner from natural oils that won’t build up on the hair and actually penetrate and hydrate the hair instead of just making it feel nice for a while. We combine small amounts of 5 different natural cleaners as this can be milder on the skin than one concentrated cleanser. We chose natural cleansers that bubbled fairly well, although the bubbles don’t last quite as long as the ones that come from SLS. To keep the bubble action going, every now and then the water can be mixed up again to rebuild the bubbles. Now all that splashing around is going to good use.We also added in some super soothing ingredients like Colloidal Rice Bran.
