1. To achieve accurate readings, make sure a new, clean probe cover is in place before each measurement. Place a new probe cover on the probe firmly; making sure the probe and the inner portion of the probe cover fit snugly.
2. Press the Power Button. The display is activated to show all segments. After self-checking a ear and probe apprear on the screen (refer to manual) with beeps, so you can start a new measurement. If error messages appear, it means the thermometer is not ready for measurement.
To measure object temperature (refer to manual for image reference):
1. First eject the probe cover.
2. Aim the thermometer at the centre of the object you want to measure with a distance of 1 to 2 cm.
3. Press the POWER BUTTON to turn on the thermometer, you can take the object temperature after hearing two beep sounds.
Remarks:
This mode shows the actual, unadjusted surface temperatures, which is different from the body temperature.
How to change the ear mode and object mode:
You can press and hold S BUTTON to switch the mode between ear mode and object
mode.
After measurement (refer to manual for image reference):
1. Power off: Device will automatically shut off if left idle for more than 1 minute to extend
battery life.
2. Clean the probe after each use to ensure an accurate reading and avoid cross
contamination (See the section of Care and Cleaning for details).
Temperature indicator :
In Ear mode (refer to manual for image reference):
1. If the temperature reading is below 37.8°C(100.0°F), a happy face will be displayed
next to the reading.
2. If the temperature reading is 37.8°C(100.0°F) or above, a bad face will be displayed
next to the reading.
BackLight:
The display will only be lighted GREEN for 3 seconds when the unit is ready for measurement
and a measurement is completed. The backlight design is to the benefit of reading in the
night .

Right ear and left ear measurements can vary. Always take temperature in the same ear. The ear must be free of excess ear wax build up to take an accurate temperature. Use the untreated ear if ear drops or other medications have been placed in the ear canal.

Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior, and if necessary to clean the probe tip, do so very gently with a cotton swab moistened with alcohol. Before using, please disinfect the thermometric tip
1. While the thermometer is off, press and hold the On/Off button for 3 seconds.
2. Press the On/Off button. The product will run a self-check test, during which all the digital segments appear on the screen.
3. The memory will show the last reading on the screen for 2 seconds.
4. After showing the mode of measurement, the thermometer will enter the testing mode.
5. Refer to Methods of measuring temperature section for placement instructions.
6. Keep the user still during the measurement.
7. The three dashes (---) will flash sequentially throughout the testing process. As soon as the temperature value is reached (approx. 5 seconds) flashing stops and an alarm will beep for approximately 10 seconds. The measured reading will appear on the LCD simultaneously.
8. Once the beeping has stopped the measurement is completed. Remove the product
from the measurement site.
9. The highest temperature measured appears on the screen.
10. Turn the product off by pressing the ON/OFF button.

Rotate the probe to any of the three positions below to turn on.
How to change between forehead mode and object mode:
Turn the thermometer on then hold the settings button down for 4-5 seconds to change the setting from Forehead mode(picture of a head) to Object mode (picture of a house)
or vice versa. If the voice function is on, you will hear a signal tone once the temperature mode has been changed. Release the setting button between each change of mode. Once the desired mode has been chosen, release the settings button. The device will always default to forehead mode each time of use. Note: Pressing the settings button briefly (<1 second) will turn the Voice Function either ON/OFF.

To measure forehead temperature:
1. Rotate the probe to the appropriate position, the device will turn on. Check if the(forehead) symbol is visible on the top left corner of the display.
If yes, aim the thermometer to the centre of the forehead with a distance less than 5cm to your forehead and then press the (thermometer symbol) button. Note: Wait 1-2 seconds before removing the thermometer from the forehead or alternatively remove once you hear the Voice Function reading out the temperature if the sound is set ON. It's recommended to wait an additional 1-2 seconds between testing for better accuracy.
2. Read the temperature on the display.
3. Rotate the probe to its original position to turn off.
To measure object temperature:
1. Rotate the probe to the appropriate position, the device will turn on. Check if the 1t symbol is visible on the top left corner of the display. If yes, aim the thermometer at the centre of the object you want to measure and then press the M button. Note: Wait 1-2 seconds before removing the thermometer from the object or alternatively remove once you hear the Voice Function reading out the temperature if the sound is set ON. It's recommended to wait an additional 7-2 seconds between testing for better accuracy.
2. Read the temperature on the display.
3. Rotate the probe to its original position to turn off.
After measurement:
