Always check the temperature first before placing on closed eyes. If necessary, allow to cool for 1 minute then check for temperature again before wearing. If further heat is needed, then microwave for another 5 seconds. For cold therapy use: seal the mask in a plastic bag in the freezer for 30 minutes, then wear over closed eyes for 5-7 minutes. The mask will stay hot for 10 minutes; if used again within 30 minutes, shorten the heating time by 10 seconds.
