Who is eligible for a free COVID-19 vaccination?

The Australian Government has committed to providing the COVID-19 vaccine at no cost to Australian citizens, permanent residents, refugees, asylum seekers and temporary or bridging visa-holders above the age of 18, if they wish to be vaccinated.

 

Is the COVID-19 vaccination safe in pregnancy?

Pregnant women should be routinely offered Comirnaty at any stage of pregnancy. To ensure adequate protection, pregnant women are recommended to complete the routine schedule of Comirnaty, which is two doses, three weeks apart. Comirnaty (Pfizer) and Spikevax (Moderna) vaccines are recommended for pregnant and breastfeeding women and those planning a pregnancy. Women can receive the vaccine at any stage of pregnancy. Please speak to your obstetrician or GP if you have any questions.
